1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

So I don't necessarily like all of her shoes. I am keeping the 975's. Thanks to all the cool 975 pictures; MDubbs and others... Here are my maiden voyage pictures.

Ha. I saw these the other day at my local J Crew and had to do a double take. They are much lighter and less sturdy than an Alden, but if you like suede Indy boots, it's a good price point...

Happy Friday all! My Cigar boots have been pulling snow/ice duty and need some TLC. Maybe I should send them to the Dubs Spa for some R&R. I'm sure they'd come back lookin' fresh and clean! [IMG]

Nice boots but please tell me you aren't letting salt accumulate on the uppers!

Haha, no - I'm very meticulous about wiping them down whenever I get in from outside. The white patches is the dreaded "dry" shell that develops on some shoes/boots. They've been that way from day one.

Gotcha. Good, I can put my mind at ease! I learned about salt the hard way (not Aldens, fortunately, but a decent pair of Church's years ago).

I learned the hard way as well with some AE shell Kenwoods during a visit to Boston in a snowstorm. Lesson learned.

Looking good in your Navals, I agree with your assessment. The JCrew Naval is a nice half-way point between the 4060 and the Leffot Naval in my opinion. :)

Thank you for sharing these with us. They look great in my opinion!

Alci, looking good in your boots, sorry that they have to go through this (with you)... :)

Nice Boots Inn8, the Brass is a great addition. Not surprised at all that these are from Frans. :)

Those boots are still looking good, continue to take care of them and they should continue to last a while. And yes, you can get away with more on a Suede Boot for sure...

Those are terrific, and that is a great shot! Hope that you are enjoying the snow safely!

Henry, those are great also! Hope that you are enjoying the snow safely!

Nice Balmorals. I like your new Strands.

Thams, these boots are always looking killer. Enjoy them!

Repp, I would go for the 9016 if I were you. These make a great addition to any Alden closet and are slightly more universal that the 9071 (which is also stunning as @watchman1) just demonstrated.

9016 - Black Shell perforated cap toe bal (Hampton)

I would only wear it with suits or (at least) slacks. Definitely not jeans.
