I'm not a fan of the PTB but do like the cap toe blucher. Anyone know of a cigar version of the 2160 in the works anywhere? I think that's one that would be an instant purchase for me.

Right after I post that, mdubs posts a great pic of his PTB. It looks great there but I didn't like the way it looked on my feet. After seeing those pics though I might have to try the PTB on again. Does anyone have a cigar or Ravello PTB in the works?

Mike - why does your Ravello look more brown than red? Is it the lighting or the batch you got?

    Mike

I'm going to say 3 to 4 months tops, but I am going to get my stuff knocked out early because I know her stuff is gonna dent the pocketbook for sure.

And btw i showed her your list of 2014 aquisitions and that made her feel much better about my modest collection :)

They pop up from time to time.

They are from the 2013 Ravello batch of which I like to call Brownvello. I am hoping to get a real Ravello pair in 2015. I also took the photos in the shade as I waited until afternoon to go out and direct shots just ended up with a Mike shadow on them and looked worse.

I'm getting hitched in May. I'll either be wearing Cigar NST shoe or Cigar LWB. I don't know when you are getting married but if you can try Alden DC to see if they have room on the Cigar LWB order.

As others have said the 975 is great though Leffot's antique edge does make it a bit more casual.

You might also want to think about other stock, but very classic models - the straight tip bulcher in #8 (2160) or the captoe tip bal in #8 (9070).

They are a fine shoe and they should be one of the formal shoes that everyone here has.

    indeed, nice brownvello PTBs...

Also, I believe Mike is trying to have the brand name changed to "mdubs." That avatar looks very familiar! [IMG]

Sup guys, while researching shoes I fell in love with this Alden for J.Crew Natural Cap Toe Jumper Boot (seen in this review here http://blindbully.com/2013/12/alden-oak-street-red-wing-wolverine-timberland/ ) I know it's long been sold out everywhere but anyone know if Alden usually restock items or is it new style / color every year? I was also looking at the Oakstreet Boots as an alternative but wanted to check here before pulling the trigger. Thanks

I told my wife I was going to clean the office/study today. She replied with 'so that means you'll surf shoe forums for 4 hours followed by 20 minutes of you shuffling papers around!' Sad part is she's pretty accurate with that assessment.
