1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Both of those boots should be sized down .5 from your regular shoe size (brannock). For example, I am a 12D in standard fitting lasts but I generally wear 11.5D in barrie and tru balance.

I think a Natty Indy on Commando would suit me just fine as well. Beautiful!

Both the barrie (wingtip boot) and trubalance (Indy) lasts run a half size large. Size down.

There are pics in the wild for both of these all over the internet...

Thanks! I really adore these. The patina these things gets is truly unique to the wearer. I think i get more compliments on these than any other shoe.

Question for the guys in HK or who have ordered from Tassels, Beams or Unipair. Any chance they carry larger sizes (11.5-12)?

Thanks guys. Yes, I have grown a few pairs since then. I am slowing down now that I have gotten my 10.5B pairs flowing in.

Funny and bummer to see people snap at Saz for a sizing question as that is why we are here, to support one another. Good thing Saz is such a good guy and stuck through it all!

I do not plan to do any more family photos. They take too much time to setup. Maybe I will do them by color. Not sure if it's worth the work.

SA at the RL store was wearing 403 Indys and complimented my cigar Indys. Dude at a
    hat boutique also complimented them.

If Alden is still a rare sight in a metropolitan city, I can only imagine how rare the other foreign makers are (EG, GG, Vass, EB, Carmina).

    Agree with you there, Mike!

Tassels should have larger sizes but not sure if that high

Ime beams / United arrows goes to 9.5

Unipair is 10 I think? They have sizes online though

2014 was the year I started my Alden collection (thanks to Kathy in DC and following this thread):

    # 8 Short Wing Bal (974)
    C&J Marlow SWB
    # 8 J Crew PCT Boot

Looking forward to collecting a few more staples in 2015:

    # 8 Unlined LHS for BB (as @Burzan said--if they ever restock...I had them on my feet in the store earlier this year and decided to wait for the corporate sale and am kicking myself for not picking them up then)
    # 8 Cap-toe Balmoral (9070)
    Black Cap-toe Balmoral (9070)
-- and am actually debating whether it's better to go shell cordovan or calf for an everyday work shoe with the 906/907.

    Happy New Year all.
