1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I disagree, totally. If you have a low instep, tongue pads are a must sometimes, and do not degrade the wearing experience.

Are these from TSM or Alden NYC (the "bootmaker" stamp implies that they are from TSM) These are whiskey, right? Ultra rare as only a few runs of whiskey boots have ever been made (Whiskey Indy Boots, Tankers and a one off whiskey cap toe). Congrats.

Thanks, @Alcibiades & @DiscoVolante ! These are TSM in Ravello. The lighting in my office is poor, so the color is off a bit. But they look great. This is my first non-King pair.

congratulations alpina. best of luck today.

I'm going to need some details please. Like alcibiades mentioned, bootmaker edition would indicate tsm, but the pictures made me think madison's whiskey sw boots had landed 6 months early.

..so i picked up the Brooks Brothers suede boots - couldn't resist based on the semi-annual sale plus 15%. Not sure i'll keep them though as i'm not sure about the crepe sole just yet. I did see on this thread a few pages back that people were saying these were on the trubalance last. The box they came in says 379x on it. When i try them on they are definitely not nearly as wide in the toe box as my Indy's. I'd even say they are slight more narrow than a similar sized barrie. Just a heads up for those that are curious about this shoe given the sale...

@MrDV These are TSM Ravello. I didn't realize I would incite such excitement with my pics!

That's interesting given that Alden and BB apparently indicated to people that they were on Trubalance. Did you buy 1/2 down or TTS? If you are right, I might regret passing these over.

FWIW, and I know this topic comes up every so often and I'm mostly repeating the same -- the crepe sole is really comfortable and I think it looks good on that model. Compared to commando sole, the crepe may not feel more comfortable at first, but if you are on your feet for hours, you will start to notice the difference.

What about the fit in the heel? Are they more narrow than Barrie? Also, do you know if the 15% is still available? Thanks!!

the heel feels just like my barrie shoes.. not as wide as my indy's. I notice this pretty quickly because my indy's are a little loose in just about every measure.
