1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

If there is no such thing as a pebble grain cxl then I have found another retailer who got it wrong.

I gotta say, I love the color of the Alden's alpine grain, but it doesn't seem too durable. Still, the tankers are one of my most complimented pairs. The brass eyelets are just striking.

My color #8 NST boots with crepe soles on the 379x last arrived today. They are interesting. I'll take a closer look at them tomorrow. Pictures...

Even though it's been done before, here are a couple half assed pictures comparing 9.5D Barrie to 9.5D 379x

My assessment, 379x is similar to Modified, but with a lower instep, and slightly wider waist.

Here is a couple more pics of the new Leffot Cigar Indy's. I included the most recent run of ravello LWBs from Alden DC as a color comparison. The pics don't quite capture the depth of color. There are definite olive undertones. We are in the middle of a winter storm so outdoor/natural light pics are on hold.

Those Indy's are everything and more. So glad to have acquired a pair from a fellow member here.

    Gentlemen,

    My Day-Tripper have arrived!

I would like to personally thank SF member Alcibiades for handing them over quietly and not causing a big scene....[IMG]

Just joking....but he is truly a gentleman and a scholar! [IMG]

    Now for the pics:

Those look awesome! This recent Leffot run of Trippers and Indy's really turned out Great!

I am curious when a pair of boots is set to be lined, when the stamp falls on the tongue do they just not line that one tongue or...? Or were the Tripps unlined? I know my Indys were lined and I always wonder whats if there is a stamp hiding under there.

Tongues are normally not lined even if the shoe is.

Those are indeed awesome boots. I believe the answer to your question is that the boot is fully lined except for the tongue, which is unlined (stamp or no stamp).

EDIT: Darn. @Tifosi beat me to it.

Lined-tongue depends on the boot or shoe. Some are, some are not. 9 eyelet shell boots usually not, but shell chukkas are.

Everyone of my Alden boots (shell and non-shell) have lined tongues. Pretty sure that's the same for my shoes that are lined.

I'm assuming that only goes for shell models?

The tongues on my Cigar Indy's are lined. At least I'm pretty sure.

@mdubs @Alcibiades @Don L Maybe yall can chime in as to the tongue on the Indy's, Lined or Unlined? I'm pretty sure they are lined.

Interesting. None of mine are. Even the tongue of my lined CXL PTB is unlined.
