1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I just learned this the hard way.....picked up a pair of great looking steep twill rivet chinos during the Instagram sale....too tight in the "top block".....will be putting on the marketplace if anyone is interested in size 36....otherwise need to drop about 10lbs!

Their special orders have a large range of sizes and encompass odd sizes too. There are a bunch of nice fabrics up now.

I'm similar -- a 34 to 35 in Epaulet pants -- and agree that it's surprising to occupy a spot near the top of the size range in a brand of clothing. At the same time, Epaulet's marked sizing in terms of numbers is actually pretty close to what it should be absent vanity sizing.

And now back to Alden. Cap toe CXL boots from Madison:

Those came through me as I grabbed them on the first day the list came out - I sent them back. Nice pair of shoes.

I'm the same way. I always have a straight or grumpy face in pics. The only way I smile is if my wife says 'I love you' right before the pic gets taken. It's the only thing that's sure to put a smile on my face.

Same here. I only fill the 1 pair of shell requirement. I have a lot of pairs of socks with stripes and just 1 pair of argyles.

Man, there has been a plethora of incredible Ravello and Cigar lately. I've never been obsessed with shell as many on this thread are and consequently, sad as it may seem, do not own any official Ravello or Cigar (AE walnut, C&J whiskey and "dark brown"/cigar, and Alden #8). But I may have to change that.

Today, it's humble snuff WT boots.

Snuff WT on Plaza??? Man I want those boots. I'd give up a shell pair to have them on my feets right now.

These are the 4 True Rules of the Alden Thread:

    1. You must be an Uncle
    2. If you cannot be an Uncle, you must be a Nephew.
    3. You must only wear your Aldens in good health.
    4. You pants and socks have to be terrible.

I'm right there with you. I've never been big on shell either. I have a pair of #8 shell and will most likely get a pair of cigar shell at some point but that's about it for me. I'm not in to Ravello or Whiskey. I still believe #8 would be the most popular color if there was no shortage and they were all readily available.
