1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

SK, those Leffot Navals look great. Welcome to the thread and contributing. I am a huge fan of seeing everyone's shoes as they age. Those are very loosely tied. Does that not bother you?

I'm pretty sure the Cigar LWB is my favourite Alden shoe.

On a whim, popped by the local thrift shop today (hunting for vintage Barbours/Levis/Schott jackets) and found these old girls. 663s.

Admittedly they have some toe damage and need a resole...and...are a width to small for me..and ...are not shell :embar:

I just couldn't leave them behind, who knows where they would end up.!?!

I'll spruce them up a little and they can become my "Training Tassels"...As it has been hard pulling the trigger on a new pair of shell tassels

    They were $12!

    Maybe $12 too much...

Those will be fun to work on. You can practice sanding the edging and whatnot.

Heck you can probably doctor em up and throw them on eBay for $50 too.

Those look great DV! Love the LWBs.
Great collection Moosic! It appears that you do have an affinity for #8 on Antique. Never saw those SWBs before this. Interesting. Always learn of new makeups! :) -Mike

Too many great posts to quote Gents. Still can't belive I passed on Hallecks..

Found a few minutes of spare time and decide to use SLR instead on ip6+ to snap a few pics that these models deserve.

Given the way you've asked your question, probably too obnoxiously round for your liking. I have a pair of the "military last" boots and it's kind of like the Modified last --- you either like it or you hate it. It's different from most of the other Alden lasts, as is the Modified. More of a work boot shape. So if you like rounded work boot type toe boxes, you might like the 379X last. FWIW, the 379X last is very comfortable for me.
