Yes, they're from Shoe mart from about 5 years ago on Aberdeen. I haven't seen SM re-stock since then.

I know this may sound egregious, but color #8 does not work for my needs, and is the least versatile color for me. I just get too self-conscious in them because almost no one my age wears that color. I can see them being the ultimate versatile pair in an office setting, but no so much in a clinical setting where I work. I guess it's a must own pair for most since it seems like most people work in offices.

Isn't this a pretty standard makeup besides the eyelets, maybe? Pretty sure J Gilbert carries this.

    To each their own.

    But ...

What color of trousers do you wear? Most contend color 8 goes with any color outside of black.

Correct, JB has this make up in commando sole and normal eyelets + hooks. However when I last asked Yenni, there was no plans to re-order them =(.

The sole and eyelets is what interests me about this makeup, personally.

So...I had posted a couple of weeks ago that I returned my first Alden shells on Grant last in 11D because they were slightly tight by my small toe.

I purchased a pair in 11.5D to try and account for the tightness but they're massive.

Wondering if it's even worth trying 11E since the heels fit fine in 11D.

Anyways just wanted to update since it generated some discussion.

Thanks resistant. I really really like the color 8/antique edge combo. Elevates the shoe to a different level for me. Unfortunately the eyelets on one shoe are extremely jagged - will have to file down until they can be worn.

I had a similar experience and found the 11E to fit well, if not a bit wide. The fit was certainly preferred to the 11D and was improved by wearing regular weight socks.

Do any of you gentlemen find the the broguing/additional leather on your wing tips to add a discernible amount of weight compared to the straight tip or cap toe shoes?

Big brother? The dye stains inside doesn't bother me at all. I have several pairs like that. Those boots look great. :)
