1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Do you guys go 1/2 size down with CXL compared to shell / leather?

Cxl is more prone to stretching and runs a tad bigger than leather / shell in the same respective size?

I size depending on the last, not leather.

I actively seek out this heel. I'm a terribly flat footed fellow as well and the comfort that Indy boots/Trubalance boots w/Thomas heel give me is a God-send.

Awesome shoes. BTW, the shoe racks are $10.50/free ship at JAB too. You'll need the extenders to fit boots though.

RTP, it's too true that I've been playing a lot of golf this summer, still didn't win my clubs championship though. I wanted to thank you and Uncle Mac especially because without you guys and the other classy members of this forum I wouldn't have such wonderful shoes to wear as I walk this earth like Cain, determined to get back in Gods good graces and to be just a little bit better than I usually am.

No. CXL does stretch more than shell or other leathers, but I still size by the last.

I can't believe these are no longer available. Like all the BB Alden shell models, it's a classic. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of any of them (this shoe in black, straight tip in black, #8 LHS, argh...)

I wear the hell out of my CXL Indys with Neo Cork. It's an excellent sole in most situations, but I wish I had the Commando sole when I'm out on a hike or something and encounter slippery rocks or other difficult surfaces. The Neo Cork is very durable and comfortable though.

This is incorrect. The Kudu Indy comes with a much more robust Vibram lug sole. It's a lot less sleek than the commando.

BB didn't drop Alden. If anything, the opposite is true. My understanding is that Alden wasn't thrilled about sales being offered on their products during BB sales, promotions and corporate events, etc. That said, I don't believe the relationship has ended, as certain models still get stocked periodically.

Edited. Better? I don't believe any shell models have been restocked in quite some time.
