1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They are all quite nice and serve in the same capacity, but I have always had an affinity to the wingtip. The NST would be a close second. You couldn't go wrong though, with the cap toe. Beautiful boot, btw...

I am sorry for asking this, but can you be more specific as to the design you are looking for? Are you asking about the Ravello Medallion Cap Toe Bluchers that just have the medallion on the cap toe and essentially no other broguing? Those are an Alden DC special makeup, so they would be your one stop shop. Not sure if they have any remaining from the January 2014 batch. Unlikely, but possible.

First pair of Aldens, whiskey lwb from sf. Pic taken in indirect sunlight. They are pretty dark. I love them and look forward to many wears.

Very Nice ,they look more like Ravello than Whiskey which might be good for some, but I was hoping for a lighter shade from the pics I've seen looks like the TSM ones are a bit lighter than the ones from SF

agreed. i'll probably try for a lighter pair of whiskey later, rather than a ravello.

Quick, crappy iPhone, comparison of the recent shell runs in LWB format. #8 from Alden DC ~8 months ago, Cigar and Ravello from AoC this month, Whiskey from TSM this month. All under artificial lighting.

Whiskey LWB from Alden SF is in. It's misleading! In direct sunlight they're completely different and much lighter. They are closer to Ravello than I've seen in the past, but I'll take a daylight picture tomorrow and post, since it now gets dark at 5PM! :(

Alden SF was awesome to deal with and they have great customer service.

I'm having a hard time justifying a Ravello LWB now. I just sold a "Brownvello" for this and feel like I made a good choice, but would love a Ravello LWB with a nice red hue circa-J Crew. Anyone with J Crew Ravello in LWB in 9.5D PM me haha.

Hope the TSM wingtip boot that is being delivered soon is a good shade of Ravello like this LWB! Haha
