Great pick-up tifosi. #8 with an antique edge is a fantastic combination. Slide your feet when you walk and your new LWB's will stay looking just like their photo, or you can "roll those babies" but good. Congrats and wear them in good health.

Bestiff, what do you mean by slide your feet when walking? Is the foot shifting positions as you walk

Haha, Namor! That is a comment I made in jest to BeSpiff a couple weeks ago when I think someone asked about the lack of creases in one of his pairs of shoes. I commented that his shoes don't crease because he slides his feet when walking so his feet don't bend!

Does anyone have recent "in the wild" pics of Color 8 hand stitched loafers on Grant last. Saw some stock photos on the Alden NY site but would love to see real life pics.

I used this one from Woly.
That pic was taken in very bright daylight.
After i sprayed it went from tan to a more of a brown shade.
I use AE's suede spray and there was no change in color. When first applied it looks darker bc they are wet. But after a couple of minutes of drying, they look the same as new. Maybe it's your product??

I had the same experience with the Saphir spray. No color change

tifosi, nice shot of your new babies. Do I detect the slightest hint of a roll developing?

You sure do! I love the way the shell gets light in the creases. Really enjoying these today.

^^tifosi that antique edge is killer! Some orange or light pink laces would bring that edge out even more

Looks good! Maybe it's the edge, but those are almost cigar-like.

^ Antique edge does seen to have that effect in certain light, bringing out the dark brown color in the shell more.
