1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Alden 1493 unlined snuff suede chukka for today. Arguably the most comfortable shoe. #slippers

    Uncle,

Alden should pay you royalties for each 975 sold. I do miss the cobblestone; reminds me of Istanbul.

    Thanks for your wisdom.

Any idea why neutral Polish is not recommended?
    An do they recommend Reno?

Had a couple inquiries about when they were made so here is another photo, has the old Alden logo. If I remember correctly should be almost 20 years now.

Who is they? I use Reno on my calf shoes before polishing.

Sometimes an excess of neutral polish or wax can cause a milky white appearance if too much is used. I use neutral polish and wax with no ill effects.

Actually, technically that is the Logo for Alden's Orthopedics line. I asked about it at one of the shops. :) -Mike

I just received a TSM Whiskey Shell LWB. It's the same color as my DC Ravello LWB from a couple of months ago. I either have a dark Whiskey or light Ravello.

Thank you. Yes, alpine. Mine are from citishoes, maybe 3 months old. Unionmade has a similar makeup as well.
Guilty, I inquired and want to buy. Those are super cool.
    Thank you uncle Mac.

Lucky. The pair I got has loose grain. It was a replacement pair any how I got free of a charge after a year due to defects. Not sure how much a defect loose grain creasing is considered other than aesthetically.
