Some people (men and women) seem to have a visceral negative reaction to the split toe style. Same with various monk straps. However I've never run into a woman that doesn't like wingtips (no matter what the brand is)

She says they look like they have a pair of boobs on them.

Does anyone recall if anyone has ever made a makeup of shell cordovan boots (preferably #8, but anything) on a neocork sole? Either plain toe or Indy boot, or really anything else. I know I haven't seen it anywhere, but perhaps someone recalls several years ago a small run done by "fill in shop here".

I love the neocork, it's durable and perfect for the mix of office/outdoor scenarios that I frequent. It looks sleeker and tracks less mud than the commando sole, but holds up better/lasts longer than leather soles and does better in the snow and mud.

Wow, I gotta say that we had a terrific Whiskey Wednesday today. Plenty of examples of the beauty of Whiskey today. Keep it up and happy holidays.

Kudos to Mac and his Ravello PTBs. Those are a work of art.

Wingtips??? LOL

Yeah, I never saw it either until she pointed it out. She's referring to a woman's perspective of looking down at herself (imagine the blank part of the vamp being the boobs/cleavage and the brogueing part forward being the shirt/lingerie/etc. I see it now and just grin.

Thanks, Be! If only they magically appeared under my Christmas tree....haha
Your very welcome. The magic is being able to live in a free country, celebrate Christmas, and wear nice shoes purchased with our own sweat equity.

just got my seconds order in

according to the list, it was a cigar barrie model with no picture. based on the model number, I was pretty sure it was a LWB. At first, I thought I didn't get the pair, but then I found out that I was the lucky buyer

however, it looks like it's not actually cigar, but color 8. I think this is a second from the recent leffot run:

I can't see any defect at all. I think I'll be keeping these
