1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I pick:

    1. Whiskey PTB (if I have to pick one rare shell model)
    2. Black cordovan unlined PTB
    3. Brown suede LWB on commando

If I had to pick one untouchable model, it would be the cigar chukka.

Another #2 in a much more desirable size. If a size 6 went for over $1,800, sky's the limit for a 9.5.

I never mind someone getting a rare shell and selling for a profit but you have to wonder how the retailer must feel. My understanding is that this was a ultra-special run to commemorate an anniversary and that they were only offered to a few select customers. To see those select customers turn around and reach for a money grab must make the retailer question their criteria for determining select customers.

Can't seem to get the cut/paste function to work on the ebay link. Auction I'd is 121446911806.

    Thanks guys!

Thanks Saz, you read my mind :)

Is that right? Do you have any of the Leffot-esque antique edged #8?

Those Cigar LWBs are amazing as well!

I ended up letting my Epaulet Innsbruck Indy boots sail on the 'bay.

I was hoping to make them work, but I think I realize I should have ordered an E-width instead .

Meh. You don't need them DV if you have the Cigar LWB. I think they go with the same outfits. I have been fighting the same urge this whole time as well. :)

The Alden collector in me will pay $5k for this pair, as it will complete my collection.
The tasteful person in me won't pay a dime, since they're fugly and I'd never wear them anyway.

Beautiful! Love both this rich dark brown and the lighter, more olive tinted.

Question for folks who grab Innsbruck, Ultimate, and any other calf Indys...

Do you folks not have a standard 403/405 Indy? I'm curious if you're buying a second Indy that you like more or if it's your first purchase.

My first Alden was the 405 (just looked... I remember when $337.50 - the price I paid after a big J. Crew discount coupon - was a HUGE purchase for me). I haven't ever considered an Ultimate or Innsbruck or the Unionmade offerings or anyone else's even though I like how they look. I may purchase a Chocolate suede Indy in the future (someone in this thread routinely posts theirs and I crush on it every time), I maaay purchase a Natural CXL one on the Barrie (can't remember who made that, but I liked how it looked), and of course I'd love them in rare shell (and even #8 shell). But the idea of a second brown Indy calf shoe does not corss my mind at all and I'm wondering what you folks who are buying them are doing.
