1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Nope, still pretty cold today but the snow is pretty much gone. Lot's of damage to trees everywhere though, all these trees with leaves on them never stood a chance against the heavy snowfall.

We will be back up to mid 70's next week, such a bipolar city haha.

Mine have yet to go outside and play. I gotta get them out before winter hits. Perhaps a little off day stroll tomorrow is in order.

Today was a casual suede chukka day. My first pair of Alden shoes from almost 6 years ago.

Wow, keen eye Tif. That is interesting. It's like a reverse straight bar lacing.

I'm with you. Crepe for trade show is a match made in heaven. I have a show Thurs - Sat next week in DC and am wearing my Barrie snuff suede chukkas. Pictured below next to the Leydon flex welt chukka in tan.

It also gives me a chance to drop by Alden DC while I'm there.

    Thank you much.

    Yes J Gilbert.

It is basically what Dubs said, reverse bar lacing.
More commonly called Army or Military Lacing. I like to experiment with these kinds of things it creates different looks.
The goal of this lacing is you can tighten them much more than a traditional lacing set up.
