Gentlemen, I've got a question this morning. I want a pair of shell Indy's to take the load off of my epaulet Innsbruck cxl's which I really love. Should I settle in for a long wait, or never, for these,
400
or just go ahead and get a black or #8 on commando which I believe are still out there?

Not sure of your size but there is an 11C in cigar for sale right now on eBay. I am sure they were a $450 pair from the recent TSM booty because I could have bought them but passed because I thought they'd be too big for me. The seller is asking $775. Also, IMHO 8 should come first and the less versatile cigar, whiskey and ravello thereafter.

Thank you, Uncle. I try to employ the Method whenever my wife and son have fallen asleep and work duties are taken care of. Clearly I need to work less lest I remain a junior nephew in perpetuity :)

Very nice king ptbs, btw. I like the ruggedness of the commando sole on yours. MTO I gather?

nephew,
thank you
my rule is that family comes first; therefore you need to take care of 529 plan and 401 k.
the king ptb with commando soles were a limited run done by LS-Honolulu

Uncle Mac, I'm very partial to the 990 because they were my first Alden's. Yours look particularly nice. Do they have a commando sole?

nephew,
thank you
this shoes has the commando sole

Thanks much coinop, unfortunately I'm an 11D in trubalance, otherwise who knows. I'm on an obsurd quest for that holy grail.

All of their Goodyear-welted models have a cork footbed.  The other models will not.

Crepe soles & the mini lug soles don't appear to be goodyear welted. I wonder about these. The little blurb says cork, but could easily just be a generic description.

You never hear much about the mini lug models. Probably not quite as handsome as the leather command soles, but should these be avoided? They look pretty practical.

these look great. How come mine never looked this good???

Thanks! Maybe I just got lucky? Honestly, they're not perfect, they came with a few marks but I don't mind at all. They look and fit great. I love how they're already starting to show some rolls in the cordovan after a few hours of wear.
