1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What do you guys like/use for a winter shoe?

I have lots of great boots for the winter but wanted a shoe. I was debating the winn perry preorder for the NATCXLLWB on commando and now I'm debating the brown CXL PTB on commando.

I advise chamois reverse or smooth.
You will not get much better for foul weather.

Question: What color is the edge dressing on the Alden J Crew Captoe #8 boots? Looks black then sometimes I am not sure if it is dark brown.

I agree with BK. Or go for brown CXL PTB on commando! I've been eyeing those as well on top of my Leffot Greenwich SW boots preorder in reverse chamois. I also have Natural CXL Indys from EP. The rest is horse :nodding:

That is pretty cool. Seller says they were faded by the sun and it does look that way given the very high contrast in color (at least to my eye) between the tongues and the rest of the boots. Though you would think they were laced up to avoid fading on the tongue. Makes me wonder if these were recently resoled after significant wear. In which case the patina is awesome but the seller is not being honest.

(Note: I have no idea. Seller could be 1000% honest for all I know. Have no position any which way.)

Does a PTB in Chamois exist?

Alpine grain wouldn't be a bad choice at all, nice suggestion.

It's my top pick at the moment. That Greenwich SW boot is unreal, congrats on that one, I debated but I don't need another boot.

I missed the boat on the NATCXL LWB on commando but we will see if any sizes pop up on the Winn Perry site in Jan when they are expected.

Quote: It is worthwhile to contact them and see if they can reserve you one in your size, assuming they ordered it for stock (standard sizes only though). I know this is possible.

Hi all, I am seeking for some sizing advise on the Aberdeen Last, hope you guys could help me out.

    I am a : 7.5E Barrie boots
7.5D Barrie blucher and Tru-balance boots

I also tried on 7.5D Aberdeen blucher, the length of the shoes is OK but quite tide in the instep area, on the other hand, it's quite loose in the heel area.

What size do you think I should take on a Aberdeen Boots? Thank you so much for the help!

    Steve
