1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm extremely jealous mdubs. Great looking collection of some very nice shoes. The dark edge on your LWB's gives them that classic American 40's and 50's wide body Florsheim appearance. I like it!

Has anyone else had fitment issues with the J Crew cordovan cap toe boot?

I have several barrie-lasted shoes and boots and they all fit great, but these in the same size do not. It feels like the toe box is narrower.

Several others have noticed the same thing. Remember the cork bed WILL compress over a few hours or even days, improving the fit tremendously. This just happened to my grain NST boots. Took an hour.

I'm almost worried about the 8E I ordered for the Leffot naval boot instead of a usual 8D in Barrie.

I had tried the 8E at Alden and it was the only size my foot could slide into. SA said it was just the stitching/design that necessitated a larger size.

I've worn these probably 6 times so far for full days.

Is is possible they accidentally used the wrong last?

If you fully fill out a Barrie lasted shoe, I could see those boots fitting tightly. How does a Barrie shoe fit in the width?

Just doing what I can to make it easier for guys to buy a decent pair of shoes instead of the black, square-toed monstrosities I see everywhere.

Like others, I found this boot to fit tight. It's the Barrie, but I would have had to go up 1/2 to make them work.

A Barrie shoe fits nicely in the same size. There is enough room to wear thick socks if I want, but not so much room to be sloppy.

I'm wearing the cordovan wing tip boot in the same size today and it feels great.

Only the j.crew model has issues.

They are indeed on the Hampton. I speak from experience because I own a pair. They're a great casual make-up, so I'm slightly surprised they haven't sold faster.

How do you size these compared to the Barrie? I wear a 8.5E/9D on the Barrie and have been eyeing these for the past month. I'm also surprised these haven't moved faster.

Incoming...Just got a call from Joe at Alden DC that the pre-orders for Ravello LWB double waterlock has arrived. :nodding: Those in that list should be getting calls soon. Crossing my fingers that my shoe doesn't have any issues.
