1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Super tempting on that Alt Wein, also because I could try an 8C which might just be the right fit on Barrie for me.

Which would be wider, 7.5D or an 8C?

Couldn't resist those Navy Tankers. I'm a sucker for full eyelets. Would be great if they showed up for football season!

I thought about going 8C as well, but I'm afraid that with my high instep the lacing gap would look silly. My barries now are wide in the foot, but the lacing gap looks "right".

7.5D (FYI this chart is Brannock, not Barrie sizing)

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Alt Wein and the common medallion cap toe blucher? Only thing I can see is Barrie vs. Aberdeen. Am I missing something else?

Looks like the chart that was posted in here says that the 8C would be slightly narrower than the 7.5D so that probably wouldn't work.

I find that I could use just a hair more length and a hair more width in7.5D but sizing up to the 8D Barrie felt like way too much room in the heel. The Barrie last is likely just not a great fit for my narrow heels and low vamp.

Would love to try out some Plaza or Grant last stuff in an 8D.

Besides some brogueing on the quarters...I think that's about it I think.

The last (Barrie vs Aberdeen) and the weld/edge color. Antique vs Black.

still burns me that they 'lost' my pair in shipping. I've yet to find another pair in 11.5 that has that shade.

I forgot about that. That sucks!

I passed because I already had a pair incoming and I ended up parting with that pair and now have no Ravello LWB's

Thoughts on whether an 8.5C Trubalance is much off from 8.5D Barrie? D too wide for me in Trubalance -- wondering if I could make the Innsbruck virtually a Barrie Indy (sort of).

Yep, I wasn't referring to the edge, just everything else. Has there ever been an Alden Alt Wien in black shell or (gasp) one of the rare colors?

What is you Gentlemen's view on the NST boot (not shoe) on Aberdeen vs Plaza? Waiting for the Plaza NST boot to be confirmed by JGilbert but now have the opportunity to buy the NST boot on Aberdeen...
