1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I would not wear snuff with those colors.

My standard lined shell LHS are EE width since my instep can't handle the strap in my normal E width. The BB and unlined snuff are E width, though, and in my TTS size, so they are a half size longer than I take in the standard lined Van (also Barrie), but I have no problem with heel slippage. When I was at Alden DC buying the snuff LHS, I took along my BB unlined for size and comparison and, they were identical. Joe said that the BB unlined are on the Copely last but used to be on the Van last (I realize there is a lot of disagreement on this point, though). But the unlined snuff LHS are supposedly on the Van last, so, whatever. One interesting observation I have had is that if you turn the shoes over and compare them visually, the lined LHS of the same size as the unlined, whether BB shell or snuff suede, the waist of the shoe under the arch and the heel as well are both noticeably narrower in the unlined shoes. I don't know if this is because the lasts are different or because the unlined shoes are just lighter overall and don't require as full a base.

Those shoes are awesome. Them and the Snuff/#8's are the only two other Saddles that I would consider. -Mike

The shoes pictured are very nice. So are the Snuff/color 8 saddles (I would have given the snuff/color 8 model more consideration had the colors been flipped). The cigar shell/snuff saddle (Leffot) is my favorite non-mono saddle from Alden. Adding to the character of that model is that the cigar shell was unglazed. Can't go wrong with any of the three.

I wouldn't wear snuff with plain navy worsted trousers, but I'm wearing snuff chukkas with navy linen pants today and I really like the look.

Third outing for my natural CXL PTBs from Alden SF. Seems as if I received the last 10E version of this shoe on earth. Love, love, love.

Gorgeous saddles upthread, by the way. I'm not sure it's a look I could pull off, but certainly one I envy.

I really like their Grove Ranger Moc but need an E. Probably for the best.

I figured 15 min. I guess I should have doubled since it was black shell.

Is it just pure hype? From what I gather most Alden Retailers have had Black CT Boots in stock for a while. I can't see the Perf. being worth selling out in 30 minutes? And having to wait 3-4 months? When you can just order basically any size from TSM right now?

    Seems dumb to me honestly.

I think the PCT casuals them up a bit. I had the 4065 straight tips but ended up selling them off due to lack of use. I doubt I would get anymore use out of the black Navals, though.
