There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Hi gents. I'm chillin' at a resort in Newport Beach for a couple of days and was wondering if any of you left-coasters know of any nearby Alden retailers. May not be the first choice of many here, but I brought my new Natty chrmxl LWB for my resort wear. Absolutely gorgeous here. Can't wait to hit the links tomorrow morning...

RTP, do you size your chrmxl LWBs the same as your shell LWBs. Enjoy Newport Beach

I did size them the same, however the chrmxl LWBs will be a smidge roomier as they break-in/stretch. The Shell LWB will not break-in in this manner. In sum, if the shell LWBs are a little roomy for you, you may need to size differently for the chrmxl make-up.

I have the color 8 Indy, but I would take the cigar over it. Why? Who has them in stock?! Tell us man! : )

The color 8 is great, but in my opinion, its identity is a little confused: the color scheme is more formal, but the boot is very casual. It's a bit too polished for denim (for me), but way too casual for much else. My best pair-up has been with chinos. I don't have the cigar, but from pics, I think they'd be more versatile and interesting looking.

    Both on Trubalance with Commando.

Just trying to get a feel for what you guys think.

I agree that the boot is casual so #8 might be a little dressier than Cigar.

I think that because it tends to be a little more common in terms if exotics it does not get it's just due. I think it is as aesthetically pleasing any other boot Alden makes.

I would probably say Cigar Indy, but what about a Color 8 Indy on Antique? :)

    Agreed^^^

Color 8 also looks formal because of its shiny nature.

I say just go with true addict style and get both. Especially if both on antique. :)

Gary's in Newport Beach stocks Aldens, but don't expect to see any unique make ups or a diverse assortment of models.

Really happy with these new Aldens from Ebay. Just the right amount of casualness when I'm dressing down a little.
