1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Was having a discussion today on this topic with another sf member. Interested to hear others' opinions:

Do you find that the nst creases more and/or worse than other models?

There's been a lot of jockeying for position lately with a surge in rare shell makeup. Is it me or has Leather Soul not mentioned anything? There is actually a pretty large amount of Alden retailers running silent. I can't help but believe their shot will happen pretty soon!

    See Ya,

My guess is they're running silent in order to avoid the deluge of unnecessary inquiries. It is likely said retailers are rewarding loyal customers with rare shell makeups. If the recent runs are limited in number, advertising too broadly will likely create a headache for them. But, it is also possible these retailers have no rare shell goods to hawk.

Yeah, I think it is more the later, but I think that many would try and give thier VIPs first dibs. I have heard some retailers are still being told that exotic shells are still not available, but they may not be completely up on the happenings of the last two weeks.

Yeah, but I'd prefer mine unmarked.

PSA, possibly already mentioned: just picked up JosABank shoe trees for $12.50 per pair. There were suede/nubuck brushes for $2.50 also.

No difference at all, and I have three pair of shell NSTs and numerous other Alden models.

I spoke to Will at LS yesterday by e-mail and asked him what they had cooking - he told me that they are *hoping* to get orders from 2012 filled, and still have nothing new planned...

I shot Takuya an email last week just seeing what was going on in Alden land with them. His answer was basically "nothing".
