1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

DISCLAIMER: That said, most people who do wear snuff LWBs with shorts and no socks started doing so only after receiving permission/approval from strangers on the internet.

Thanks. I enjoy my Alden's very much and I would wear them exclusively, but as you guys all know, their availability hinders that.

So, I get them when I can.

I am on the list for several of the special shell makeups at this time. The problem is that I wear balmorals more than bluchers and they seem to be the rarest of the rare.

Well, I mean, when you put it like that, it just sounds so wrong or something.

I had the exact same observation when I tried these on at Unionmade. Couldn't understand how the shoe looked so clunky. Maybe if it was 270 welt and blind eyelet, double waterlock sole...

I will say the Unionmade Alder shoe is gorgeous. That's the two tone medallion cap toe. May go back and get it.

hum, the owner of Skoaktiebolaget just posted on their thread that Horween is experiencing very very low stock on cordovan. But aren't we just all ordered some shoes in rare shell recently? What's the deal? Is it because Alden has better relationship with Horween (I wouldn't doubt that)?

Yes it's very bizarre, the Longwings fit differently too. I did some more comparing last night and the longwings are bigger than the boots in almost every dimension. It becomes more apparent when I compare the soles side by side. I even double checked the inner shoe for the size just to make sure they weren't miscaregorized... But sure enough, they're 9D just like the boots.

These things are going back to J Crew!!!

Wish some stores would understand that whiskey Indys need to be on the Plaza last, not the Trubalance. (Actually, all Indy boots should be on Plaza if you ask me...)

And yes to a whiskey NST boot! Love this makeup from Leffot:

If an Indy boot is on the Plaza last, it ain't an Indy boot - they are supposed to be clunky, casual boots IMO

I have read these drill bit polishing devices do not work particularly well. If you want the real deal, man up and buy a Pilgrim. Just my $0.02. Cheers.

Maybe that really is the mac method..... It was Mac's little secret. Until he sold the idea for $6.7M. Probably what he was doing during his "tax season" hiatus.

If there are ever another offer of Whisky or Ravello NST boots, I think a lot of us will all jump on it. They look amazing!
