1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

And they're six eyelets. Perfect for bar lacing and a great formal look with Plaza.

Walked around with the Snuff Suede Dovers for a few hours today. The flex sole is incredible.

    Great shoes Mike. :nodding:

Was doing some polishing today. Was again reminded I have an overabundance of Alden and BB trees (made by same company) and shoe bags from various makers. PM me if you are in need of trees or bags.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

This may sound blasphemous, but has anyone tried using brown paste on #8 captoe boots to make it more cigar like?

Newcomer to this thread, but wanted to share how happy my indy natural chromexcels have kept me over the last 4 or so years. Have definitely darkened over time, possibly to do the use of too dark polish, but f'n love them even more. Love how versatile these guys are as well.

Haha, ya the photo is a bit dark, but so are the boots. They kind of reflect my learning experience from a n00b to shoe/boot care to knowing a bit more about how to take care of a collection that now includes Trickers, Sargents, and EGs. They'll be my first boot love forever.

Me? I have no clue. It all depends upon multiple people in the 9D size wanting these shoes. Badly.

Are dudes really clamoring that badly for saddle shoes? Even in #4?
It seems to be the least in-demand of Alden models.

Those saddles are interesting to say the least. I don't know how to feel about them.

The Leffot saddles sell out pretty quickly. Saddles tend to get a bunch of compliments when I wear them, but I don't wear them that often. They can look sleeker than other Barrie lasted shoes.

I've a pair of the #8/scotch grain from Leffot and love them, I'd add another pair if I found the right pairing say cigair with a black saddle.
