1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yeah it's a tricky last. I was able to try on the 990 in a 7.5D and the 975 in 8D locally and though the 8D felt decent in most areas it was just too much heel room. The 7.5D is a bit snug on my baby toe in my CXL PTB but I think most shell shoes would be slightly roomier due to the shell being a bit tougher to last as tight.

I am hoping the 7.5D Leffot tanker fits perfect when it arrives as it is a grail item for me. I have been lusting after it since coming to this thread.

You should be safe. My 8D Tankers fit 100x better than my 8D LWB.

That is good to hear since I have read bit about the Barrie boot last fitting a bit different.

Yea, I guess it all depends on how the Barrie shoe fits. Barrie shoes fit a bit big for me so the snugger Barrie boots are perfect. If you fill out a Barrie shoe, then a boot in the same size may not work.

We'll see I guess, fingers crossed. I wear a medium/heavy weight sock in most of my shoes and boots so I could always drop to a thinner sock if needed. I am sure I will find a way to make it work as long as they don't cause me any pain haha

Yea, I have heavier socks that I wear exclusively with my Barrie LWB.

You seem to be one of the few to echo my experiences that boots and shoes fit may need to be sized differently.

A Barrie PCT boot fits me best in 8E, but the Barrie LWB can fit me in 8D or 7.5E.

I think the construction/style of shoe matters; the last is the general shape, but the vamp feel with respect to your instep can be different. Consider shoes that are whole cuts or that have stitching seams on the tongue. An SA once told me this can put pressure on the top of the foot.

Dang, those are stunning! I really like the color combination, it has a nice pop or zing to it.

DV, those are killer Atoms, I love the color on your shoes!!! Your choice in socks helps to bring out the color in them as well.

Snuff LHS. I think that I could live on the unlined LHSes alone during the summer. They are super comfy.

Here is the @NAMOR artsy shot.

^^ I could definitely wear those all summer long as well. Now I just need to get the damn things to fit!

Your 8D LWB fits loose comparatively? Is is a length issue or width?

I ask because I recently ordered an 11.5D NST boot on Barrie in color 8 and it should be arriving soon..

I have an 11D LWB in cigar shell that is on the verge of being too short. I sometimes get a tad bit of middle toe touch if I walk briskly.
I also have an 11D unlined dover in shell from Leffot that seems to fit better than the LWB despite the same size. I think since the unlined shell has more flex and give the slight toe touch is not as noticeable.

I ordered the boot in 11.5 to avoid the toe touch as I find it bothersome.

Length in an 8D Barrie shoe or boot is perfect for me. More of a width issue in the shoe.
