1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

You see though, my joint falls where Mike's roll is. Of course I'm assuming that the location that the roll falls is always a true indicator of where your toe joint is. Do you guys all have toes that are that long?

The LWBs have a strong presence in general, which at the very least, contributes to what you are noticing. There may be other factors, such as sizing, at play.

I go with the smallest size that fits. Rather have a secure fitting shoe than a sloppy fitting shoe. Don't understand why anyone would prefer it any other way.

Heel slip will be an issue if you go down a length and up a width. You'll really just need to become accustomed to the way gunboats look on your feet since it sounds like you've got sizes that are working.

Always nice to have one more guy wearing Aldens in the area. At least we know there are at least three guys in the region wearing good shoes.

Saw a coworker wearing navy suede tassels (probably from Leffot). The secret is out on Alden shoes... interest continues to grow

Just got off the phone with Alden NY. Shortest phone call ever. Went something like this:
Me: "I know this is a long shot, but do you have anything in cigar?"
    SA: Nope
Me: Anything in whiskey or ravello?
    SA:Nope
    Me: Anything in the works???
SA: Nope. Try a couple years.
    Me: Ok, bye.

Wow. So the wait times for these are REALLY a couple years? That's crazy!

They were definitely Alden Tassels and not just Alden inspired Tassels? (not that I question your expertise)

Definitely Alden tassels with the contrast white/tan moc toe stitching and an antique sole.
