1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

This is true, but I'm quite ok with exactly what they are

They are not perfect, nor did I expect them to be

Then I'd say you're fanboy that spent $3500 on shoes that you don't like.

CXL is easy scratch, but also pretty easy to buff out. But with mine, I wear them strictly casually and I don't care if they are scratched. YMMV.

CXL is a great leather and as Tifosi said - it buffs easily - I own two pairs of CXL boots, and love them.

My approach to scratches ( at first, now I don't really care...) was to use Saphir Dubbin Grasse applied by hand, and then hit with a brush, and then a microfiber cloth - you would be surprised at the shine you can generate this way.

I also use Saphir Greasy Leather Cream (in brown) on the occasional deep scratch to fill in color.

But in any case, in my experience with brown and natural CXL: it's pretty easy to keep them looking nice if you so choose.

I personally prefer Ravello with a lighter edge trim than darker. Great shots!!

Sorry if my edge trim comment is too controversial in light of recent discussions

Can you elaborate on "casual" and specify how you would wear them? Denim and chinos?
