Outstanding Indy boots. I have been skeptical on the barrie last on Indy boots before, but that pic proves me wrong. That pic has inspired me to throw some leather defender on my black tankers and to set out on the maiden voyage today.

It's really great to see more black cordovan on the thread. There are a lot of black boots in stock now (Context has tankers, Alden NYC has Indy boots and captoes, Leffot has Naval boots, numerous Alden fo Carmel models, etc) if people want to get involved

A little brushing and some new laces can do wonders. These bad boys were on my last biz trip. Those airline seats beat shoes up like crazy!

I have to admit, the black PTBs are really tough to beat. The #8s are making their debut this week finally...

Got my new Cape Cod Horse Bit loafers to my table to photograph finally. Hope that you enjoy them, this is my first pair of calf skinned Aldens and they are extremely supple.

Is it correct that a 1/2 size down and a width up has the same heel measurement (i.e. 8.5d vs 8e) in the same last? or is it just similar? From my "research" the consensus is that overall volume is larger in the 1/2 size down up a width (8e example) but Im wondering specifically about the heel measurement.

    Thanks guys

Very nice. You read my mind, my next question was "Would anyone mind posting some pics of black shell and jeans?"

Thanks Tampa! I really like them as well... I have been eyeing them for a long time and then a pair BNIB in box appeared on eBay for around $100, so I pounced on them without thinking twice... Glad that I did, these are going to get some good use in... :)

Wow absolute KILLER deal. That was how I got my beefroll Alden pennies, however, mine needed a resole.

Since we are all being very appreciative of black shell this morning, I'll repost these pics that went unnoticed a few weeks ago during "Rare-Shell Appreciation Week".[IMG]
