1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

no offense to Mike but I don't think he got this organized. This is a regularly stocked item by DC and many people have been on the wait list 1 year or more

Huh. According to my email, there's a pair of Cigar boots for me at Alden DC. Oddly enough I wore my Cigar captoe boots today:

I'd put myself on the list a long time ago, but then found that a pair DC had hanging around fit me. So I'll probably be passing on this round.

I put my name on the Alden DC Cigar CT Boot about a year ago, and thought I would have been bumped with all the inquiries lately (and I haven't purchased from Alden DC in quite some time). Was very surprised to get a call from Kathy today informing me that would ship this week.

Problem is that they had me down for a 9E instead of 9D. Never owned a pair on Grant last, and a curious to know if 9E Grant works for those who are typically 8.5D Barrie.

At any rate, excited to see how they look/fit. If these work out then I'll likely put my recently acquired NIB Alden SF Whiskey PTB up for sale.

No doubt it's a regular make up...in a world where this gets made on a regular basis. I don't consider 36 pairs of anything very regular. I know Mike was involved in getting Kathy to submit an order. I know Mike told me about it, and I was the 2nd person on the list behind him. I'm giving him credit...but that's me and I got a 13E which is ultra rare. In addition...when this got started it was Mike keeping the list and submitted it to Kathy. So... Here's to Mike!

    See Ya,
    Steve

Can't post pictures yet, but the boots are beautiful. Lighter edge with a nice medium brown. Apparently I was the first to pick up a pair in person.

Are you sure there were 4 pairs made in 8D? I was definitely number 3 or 4 on the list.

I will take your 9E if you don't want it. Acually it will work better for me than 9.5D.
