1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Battle Royale - Plaza vs Grant

I expect Plaza will win but I am a fan of the Grant last myself

I prefer shell boots on commando. I have three color 8 boots from JGilbert. All are splendid.

But of course nothing wrong with leather either.

I had Grant cigar captoe boots and really liked the last but unfortunately, wanted a bit sleeker Plaza. Comfort wise I like a bit snugger fit of Plaza which is very comfortable as well.

So Plaza is the winner for me.

The grant is a nice last, and I have owned it.

For me, the plaza is easily my favorite last for boots. No other last even comes close. However, plaza is not my favorite last for shoes (I like it though).

Stunners! Makes a strong case for ravello.
Wow! Leffot's pics were stunning but these are amazing. I'm sure you'll enjoy them for many years. I keep considering doing a DIY antique edge trim on my color 8 PCT boots.

patrick, I'm probably wrong but I don't believe I've ever seen an antique edge on a boot with a 270 degree welt. Interesting idea. If anyone could pull it off you could.

See, the one nice thing about the availability is it helps us in pacing out purchases. I fear the day that Whiskey, Cigar, and Ravello are readily available.
