1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks! They're definitely not going back. Plan to hit it with Reno and get them ready for Easter service!

    I thought these sold?

I've definitely eyeballed them (if these are the pair I remember from a couple weeks ago)

Big circled R marked on the soles, indicating these were factory rejects. Fresh restoration who?? Either the seller is totally ignorant about Alden restoration or full of you know what.

The standard heel pads are also a giveaway. Factory restoration shoes have restoration heel pads.

Somebody probably got these from the TSM second list cheap way back.

One sole does have restoration written on it. I wonder if Alden restores an "R" marked shoe if they re-mark the new sole with an "R" I agree about the heel pads, that seems strange.

Oh I definitely noticed that right away. I just assumed that the seller lucked into these and didn't understand how Alden works. It didn't matter to me and that wasn't the reason I passed on the shoes. But I did notice it.

No argument here. Power to those who buy somebody else's used shoes at a premium.
And more power to those who flip used Aldens for profit.

Gentlemen, thank you very much! I am very excited to add these guys to my family of Ravello LWBs. My condolences to @kwhitelaw and @rydenfan for not being able to land them. I hope that you may be able to find a pair someday as well.

Saz, thanks for the explanation. I did not think to look up area codes and I could not think up a 514 model number... :)

The boots look great, it's a shame you can't wear them year round.
    NICE and NICE.
Those look great mdubs. One of my favorite make ups. I need a pair.
Great color on the boots. I really like the contrast stitching too. I hope the leffot tankers look like your pair when they're delivered.

Is a tanker just an NST boot? Tankers seem sleeker than Indys for some reason. I'd love a tanker, would trade my color 8 indy (size 8.5D) for an 8D or 7.5E
