I haven't had the time to do it yet. I posted a pic of them on the counter there in Norwalk
I need to wear them around the house first to get them broken in. They're in #8 and they're beautiful.
So, after my buy tonight, I've got Black 9901 and #8 990s and LHS in Ravello all for under $850! Thanks eBay & The Shoe Mart.
ravello sw boots
Gorgeous looking Ravello boots MrDV.
Question about the Van last. I am an 8D in Barrie and 8.5D in Grant. The 8D Barrie still has some room, but not loose. Could I size down to a 7.5D in the van last for some LHS loafers? I'd definitely be wearing thin or possible no socks. What do you guys think?
prob. not. are you trying to grab those whiskey LHS on ebay right now?
in any case, i'm an 7.5D Barrie and a 7.5D Van and the the Van is definitely tighter than the Barrie. Still comfortable but I could have sized up to an 8D on the Van. the Van really only runs about 1/4 size bigger the US TTS whereas the Barrie, like most other Alden lasts, runs a full half size larger.
Having tried the van in the last 24 hours, I advise to go with your Barrie size. That's what worked for me. I could not have gone down another size from there.I did see those, but I found something new in a 7.5D. I didn't know how closely the van ran to TTS. Thanks for the input.

A question for the community regarding 2 pairs of shoes that I'm on the perpetual hunt for. I would love a pair of LWB's in either Ravello or whiskey (I know, try to contain your laughter). Additionally I would like a pair of two-tone shell saddles, similar to the #4's offered by LS a few years ago (though #4 is obviously not required).
I am always going from site to site in my searches and occasionally I'll hear of a new retailer from this forum and I'll try them. This seems awfully inefficient and I just figured I'd throw it out to the group and see if anyone had suggestions. My size is a 9 on the Barrie last but I could also go to 9.5.
As always, thanks in advance for any suggestions.

These might work (I'm not the seller). You can restore too via Alden or B. Nelson.
