1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

HaHa. She would have, but I have probably been half her volume over the last 12 months. :)

Not a ton of new stuff there right now. But I didn't straight up ask if she got anything new in. She usually offers most stuff to me since it is typically a slam dunk for her. :)

That is pretty spot on for pricing. Rare shells are more. I thought the regulars were slightly more than that at this point though.

They regulars are in the $700 range. Weird on the tsm website the black2210s are more expensive than the #8s.

Does anyone know where you can pick up Alden white bucks in blucher style with a red micro sole? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. Cheers.

They called but didn't leave a message. I called them after I saw the posts here about the delivery. They sent me the tracking info quickly. Friday delivery for me.

@mdubs - I've worn my C&J to Alden DC before as well, fortunately Kathy didn't seem to mind.

I've wore my Alden chamois ranger mocs to the C&J store in Paris. While I was trying on the Islay boot the sales guy was checking out my Aldens and asking questions.

So my pair of whiskey LWB from Alden NY arrived this afternoon. Images are pretty true to color with the Alden box in the background to compare. Overall super happy with the shoes!

Thanks RTP, but I saw these already, and the sole is not what I want.

Thanks for the recommendation. The only thing I see on their site is a longwing blucher in white suede. It's not what I am looking for. Perhaps I will call them. It seems like a couple years ago, several stores stocked the Alden white (plain toe) buck with red soles.

    Thanks doc. I appreciate it.
It's the same model the Shoe Mart carries. I will have to investigate at some point.

Hmm I don't think I've personally seen anyone wear cordovan boots (or any boot) in the summer. I'm sure they won't trap too much extra heat, but I just can't imagine it pairing too well with a summer look. Trying to google some good casual summer looks that can incorporate my #8 shell boots but can't seem to find any. Navy/beige chino, white shirt-collar polo, #8 PCT/wingtip boot? Gahh that won't work. I guess they do need to go away until fall.

I'm fairly certain that Tricker's uses Stead repello for their suedes, does Alden use the same?
