I just bought back a pair of Alden boots from the same person I sold them to.
Feel like this should unlock some secret reward of footwear obsession. "The neurotics badge."

Rank these black boots:

Tanker on commando
700

Perforated captoe on leather
700

Indy Boot
700

For me, cap toe > tanker > indy

Though I've owned my commando chukka's for a few months, these represent my first opportunity to wear commandos outdoors.

I can say without the slightest hint of equivocation that my feet have never felt this good. We'll see how they feel after 8+ hours of wear, but the initial review is certainly positive.

Congratulations on finally going commando. I know it can be a bit intimidating at first. But, as you have seen, going commando can be liberating. It feels great -- breezy and light. There is a squishy comfort in each step that you can't get otherwise. I bet you feel better after 8 hours than you do now.

You wear it well. Enjoy.

I think mine would stay the same if were color8. I thought the PCT might jump ahead of the Indy, but I'm not sure. Tanker will always be on top for me.
