I now have an appreciation for black shell after receiving my boots. These are on my list along with the color8 (and of course exotics when pigs fly).

I'm finding the Cigar LWB with the antique welt simply delicious (as delicious as the color 8 cake below)! Any leads on whose list to get on for a new batch sometime in the next several years? ; )

i would suggest calling (no email) every retailer you know of and inquiring. i would start with Alden DC, SF, and NYC. rinse and repeat every 6-8 weeks.

I actually haven't figured out how I want to execute the use of these shoes.  I like Uncle's advice... wear what you like with them, stare at the mirror, and repeatedly tell yourself, this works for me.

My whiskey shortwings are among my least worn shoes, but every time I wear them, I love them, so I can't even think about selling them. I need to force myself to wear them more. I'm gonna get a good pair of olive chinos for the fall, I think whiskey shoes go well with them
