    Apologist.

What is the world coming to?

And how can the answer to this question be at all positive when style leaders who have strayed from The Path are encouraged with such, I am sure well-intentioned, enabling?

And how can that answer be positive when I am shirking my duties with my apparently quixotic battle in support of the rules of style and good taste?

Break long over. Back to work.

You are supporting the rules of style and good taste in those tight hootchie pants? : ) Sorry, could not resist. I understand your point but there are exceptions to the rule and some people can pull off what most others cannot. As I see it, while the style of that shoe is *more* formal, it is brown, not black, and therefore not strictly formal. Just my thoughts.

If you are ever looking for extra income, you might be able to find work writing the passages for reading comprehension questions on the GMAT, because I have no idea what is being said in the above quote.

(They actually get the passages from scholarly publications, ect. but they are still equally as hard to follow.)

OK. How many people (besides me) had to google "quixotic"? [IMG]

Aldenwear, it seems to me, is simply suggesting the following:

If traditional rules of style and fashion mean anything, a heavily brogued blucher (2145) is less formal than a minimally brogued balmoral (9015), period.

MAC: nephew, good people can agree to disagree

Indeed they can. I consider both of us good people. And on this issue we shall disagree.

I'm just going to leave this here....

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/Mens-Shoes-...3306754&_sop=10&LH_Complete=1&_ssn=muchocoins

First quality Aldens at stupid prices. I totally lucked into the Ravello longwings in my size for 270 shipped!!!!!!!

Good luck, as you'd imagine given the prices, they dont last long. (I think the Ravello Chukkas lasted max 1min)

If you're a reseller go fuck yourself, let people get some steals for shoes they want.

Anyways here is a link to his current listings.

You might just want to keep refreshing :lol

    Again good luck guys!

Yes they are. He/she didnt put it in the title/description but if you look at the pics you can tell and there is also the shell cordovan stamp on the sole.

Gotcha. There was only one small pic to see since they were sold. Way too large for me anyway. Just asking.

Oh I wasn't saying it in a negative way or anything sorry if it came off that way. I just said that to highlight to everyone to go by the pics in the listing as the seller clearly doesn't know what they are selling (More steals for others!)

Not to stray too far off topic here, but yes all Baldwin Denim is sanforized. Not every tailor has chain stitch equipment so it is important to have them altered at the correct location. you can also send them back to Baldwin and they will do the alteration for you. Because the Baldwin is sewn with an overlocking inseam it is technically possible to have them tapered; however are you sure you want to? The Henley has a pretty tight knee and small cuff opening to begin with so any tapering would make them quite a skinny jean. Personal preference, of course, but I would not taper them.

That isn't how I took it. haha. I thought it was strange that the seller listed the #8 as cordovan, but didn't mention that in the other 2 listings.
