    you might try alden san francisco. this used to be a standard makeup from them, i have the black version. i would suggest calling and asking, they are always helpful on the phone.

    I got them cropped super high, so that length is accurate. The opening is 15"

    Are there any cap toe boots on Barrie in 11EE or 10.5EEE? Tempted to go with shell if it exists.

    That is insane for a pair of suede LWBs. You are right that that makeup should be pretty standard.

    After the delay with the Epaulet Brixton (though I am in on the whiskey order and not the Ravello) I too am done with Alden pre-orders with any retailer except for Leffot. It seems like when Leffot does a pre-order they have already confirmed the makeup so the wait times are not nearly as long (I waited only about 4 months for my saddle shoes and naval boot this spring).

    ^^ With the exception of a color 8 boot from JGilbert, I have never participated in an Alden pre-order. That said, I have a lot of exotic shell models. There is hope.

    The suede LWB delay is a head scratcher.

    j. gilbert has some pretty sweet blue suede chukkas, for that that are into that sort of thing (i'm not)

    and damn you whoever posted that context snuff boot. the last thing i need in another pair of boots, but i've been wanting a suede boot for a while. ugh.
