If anyone has experience wearing both barrie and Alfred Sargent 7WK would you say they are a similar fit? Any help greatly appreciated.

Natural CXL will definitely get darker. I've seen some pics on here, but not too many. It looks great though, but definitely more casual.

Agree. The fit for me is near perfect and I like the silhouette.

I'm going to be honest...debating whether WW1 and WW2 soldiers did or did not wear shell cordovan boots and how many horses were individually owned is a load of horse shit. I support my position by determining how many horses were alive, how much they ate each day, and the rate at which they crapped. I do find it interesting how many soldiers died to defend the freedom of the world, and I'm sure many can debate that too. MoneyWellSpent I understand your position, and RTP you too. But can we focus on Alden shoes, on this forum?

    See Ya,
    Steve

    Calm thyself....

    Calm now?

Ok, now use the scroll bar or the scroll wheel on your mouse to get to the next post that you care to read. All conversations pass with time. Everything will be ok. Pictures of Alden shoes will inevitably appear soon as they always do.

Yes, as long as the net feedback is over 10, I'm fine with taking the risk if the percentage is 100%. If the net is over 100, then my percentage threshold falls to between 95-98%.

Abso-freakin-lutely! This horse is dead and beaten into the ground. As I said in my last post, apologies for straying. I will graciously give my good friend Money WS the last word, again...

Ah, finally a beautiful pair of MrDV shells that I also own! The tremont last doesn't seem to be well-liked on this thread. I do enjoy mine though. Wear in great health my friend!

These are Natrual CXL PTB right out of the box, they are much darker now with a subtle shine. I will get some more current pics up soon.

Asserting that I am simply seeking the last word, and that you are giving it to me "with grace" shows that you are missing the entire point. I'm not that petty. References that support one's position in a discussion are perfectly normal and acceptable to use. When the data supports one's position, which is presented, and then the opposer seeks to close with a magnanimous comment, it says a lot. It also puts one person at a disadvantaged position of whether they should respond at the expense of proving the point of the one who claims that a last word is being sought, even it if isn't. I'm glad I'm your good friend in spite of it though.

    Thanks brother.
Yeah, I bought them there. I was thinking about the shell PTB's but went with these for now.
Next up, #8 Gunboats... need them. Figure I'd go with a classic for my first shell. Won't be for a while though.

BTW, what do you use on your CXL chukka's, natural cream or a coloured cream?

Venetian Shoe Cream works the best.
