1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Good idea keeping them! I adore mine. I'm wearing the sister boot, today.

With those in hand, I can see why you are parting with the #8 Indy.

Is it just the way photo is taken, or is the cap toe of the right shoe really mis-aligned?

    Nice!

This has become one of my favorite Alden models. Next time J Gilbert makes a new run on the Plaza last I'll get my hands on a pair...

It wasn't even there this morning. Now it's there with a $645 price tag and saying it's sold out. Is this a model that JCrew regularly restocks? I'm guessing they will if they're raising the pricing on it.

I'm on Rancourt's website I swear every week thinking about what they could make for me in navy shell. If they ever come out with a Blake LWB or PTB I might have to finally pull the trigger. If you do end up getting your Ranger Moc, I'd love to hear what you think of their variant. IIRC they dye all of their colors of shell themselves except natural and Color 8, and it won't be finished the same way as Alden or AE.

I meant to comment on these the other day when you posted them. I'm a huge fan of Tassels, especially suede. I like these much better than the Unionmade version with the contrast stitching. JG's, like UM's are also on the copley last though, right? That is a deal breaker for me. I am a purist in the sense that I only like Tassels on the Aberdeen. Also, what color is the welt, edge? I can't tell if its dark brown or black or what? Not sure, but I like how it makes the blue look darker than the lighter edging that I've seen on unionmade's.

I've never bought Alden's from them, and haven't shopped there since before they transformed themselves into Hipster Supply Co., but they really seem to suck at marketing aldens on their websites, between all the image snafus and unintentional discounts.

Maybe it's just me, but the unintentional discounts seem to be a big plus in the J Crew column.
