Nice and cool this morning so I decided to go with the Barrie/crepe sole snuff suede chukka today.

Flat Head or Iron Heart jeans? Regardless ... the double cuff works with that straight fit and the "work" boot.

I might be in. Interested to see what the final specs turn out to be. I'd be interested in double waterloc soles.

How do guys rate Alden double soles in comfort and weight?

Between Double oak leather, double waterlock, commando and Crepe(not double but similar in size) which one do you consider the more comfortable ?

I know single waterlock is very light and comfortable but haven't tried the double.

Also between single waterlock and Crepe for all day wearing but not a lot of walking?.

    Thanks.

    out of the box comfort:

    single waterlock
    crepe
    double waterlock
    commando
    Double leather

    weight:

    single waterlock
    double waterlock
    double leather
    commando
    crepe

single waterlock is best for all day comfort however can become uncomfortable after a couple of miles of walking

double waterlock is probably my favorite for combination of comfort and weight

i would agree with the commando sole... very low profile.... almost stealth like :)

i love them on some Indy boots i have in winter conditions, but i don't typically walk on marble so not sure about slipping there.... ha!
