    "king" cap toe...love it.

I continue to be amazed how you get that shine on your shoes/boots with no wax/polish, uncle. You must have Popeye arms!

I don't like to spend a lot of money on belts as I dress pretty casually so my belts are usually covered by my shirt. But I wanted a belt to match my #8 footwear so I got the AE merlot Manistee belt. I'm happy with how it matches up and with the quality so far.

^ And it's on sale now at Nordstrom's.

Edit: Sorry, looks like the merlot is the only color that's not on sale.

thanks everyone for the belt suggestions. looks like Brooks Brothers has a nice belt that should work.... Btw, I do own and LOVE a Rancourt CXL belt (in black), but it definitely seems more casual then other dress belts I have owned in the past.

Btw, BB doesn't have specific sizing descriptions. Does anyone know off-hand if I should order the next size up over my dress pant size? i.e. Order a 34" belt for a 32" pant size? I am assuming so.... but just thought I would check...

+1 on the $3 heel protectors. In my experience they save your shoes from significant wear, but then again I walk a lot.

It's actually Equus' burgundy but it's not a traditional burgundy with a lot of red. As you mentioned, it's closer to dark brown with a subtle burgundy tone and it is close enough for me.

Shown with a variety of shoes that I wear it with.
    L-R:
    AE Tresana in cabernet brown
    Alden color 8 shell
    AE burgundy shell
    Alden cigar shell

Equus is a joy to work with and I couldn't recommend their products enough. I now have three Equus belts.

patrick_b, I strongly approve of the colours your showing today. Thanks for reminding me how much improvement I need in the shine department.

Random question, anyone here have Alden's #8, #4 and AE's burgundy shell, just want to see a picture together to see how they look next to each other (i.e. how red or not red each is).

An Alden Long Wing Blucher, in the color Whiskey.

Not the King of colors, but perhaps a Prince?
