Thanks man. It's too hot and humid for heavy selvedge up here in Toronto today though. I also find the dark heavy denim does not suit the sleek flat welt of this shoe. imo

+1, I'm giving up deep fried foods, fast food, and red meat for the next month. That should get me to my ideal weight. Hoping to reward myself also with some shell. It's a deal my friend!

Mac may know Aldens, but I don't think he gives very good advice about weight loss. 15 pounds in three weeks - 5 pounds per week - is difficult. If it is possible, it is a recipe for it coming right back on if you go back to fried foods, fast food and red meat when you meet your goal. Professionals would tell you what you obviously already know - eat better foods on a consistent basis and exercise regularly. You may have to take 6-7 weeks -- and slightly delay the Alden fix -- but you would be more likely to keep it off and you will feel better too.

I am all for buying whatever you want and can afford, but I feel like that buyer severely overpaid. You could do an MTO from any number of high end shoemakers and still have plenty of money left over.
