1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

very cool actually. Lots of cool stores and restaurants. Here for a few days before heading to Paris. Was thinking Iceland would just be a interesting stop on the way but it's a lot more than I expected

Uncle, you've got on the perfect Super Bowl Sunday combo. Just to think a little over a year ago I didn't know anything about Alden shell, Marcoliani argyles, or Bill's khakis. Great shine on your LHS's as always.

Great shoes and combo Uncle. Of the rare shell colors, which is your favorite LHS?

OK, I think I found a shop with my size in Cordovan Indys.

    I'm concerned about the sizing.

My longer foot is a 11 on the dot on a Brannock and the shorter is between a 10.5 and 11. Both widths are precisely in the middle of D and E. This is barefoot.

For what it's worth I wear a 11.5 in Asics running shoes.

I talked to J Gilbert while on the hunt for them (they don't have any) and they say that I should go down to a 10. Popular opinion says I should be a 10.5 from what I've gathered...

I don't plan on dressing up these often. More often than not I would be wearing medium thickness smart wool or people's socks.

I don't have anywhere to try Aldens on, unfortunately.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Same here. Been using Reno for a few years now and thought I'd try the VSC for comparison.

Why is almost everyone in this thread a "Senior Member"? Is it like the adult film industry, where you're automatically a "Star"?

Maybe SF should start stratifying members by adding additional tiers.
