1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks everyone! It's my first step (heh) into a non-color 8 shoe/boot. I was worried about their versatility, but my fears were put to rest when I slipped them on. My wife really digs them too!

What are those boots on the floor? I haven't seen a black shell ptboot with a reverse welt. They are awesome.

I am huge LWB fan. I think I have about 10 pairs in suede, calf, and shell. I think the 975 is the quintessential Alden shoe. Others may disagree, but that is my opinion. Also, the shortwing from AoC is on the commando sole. If I could only have one, I would want the traditional double leather sole. Again, this is just MHO.

All the best to ya... you really can't go wrong either way.

Shell and rare colors seem to get most of the love in this thread, but these Kudu Chukkas have really grown on me this winter.

Thanks. They are from the alden madison store as well. #45165. I posted a pic wearing them a few pages back.

Ive been driving myself nuts the past couple of days trying to find these 990s in my size and now Im looking at them and one looks just ever so slightly lighter in color than the other. Probably something I would forget about after a few times wearing but its driving me nuts! haha.

Anyone else experience anything like this. I have never purchased seconds before but I cant imagine this would qualify anyway since most normal people would never notice. Its very close in color though so I have a feeling if I returned them and tried to find another pair I would find another imperfection. Maybe the color 8 polish would even out the slight difference![IMG]

I guess my question is: how will darker ravello age? Will it darken or lighten over time?

Ravello is definitely my favorite rare shell color, and this make-up looks great.

It is definitely the angle of the photo. When taken from the vantage point of the wearer --so looking down at the cap-- it has the true plaza shape: curved, with a little squareness. I would post pics, but I don't think I could do them as much justice compared to some of the other folks who have posted.

Uncle, very cool looking patina on your cigars. I like the slight variations in shade of cigar on your straight tips.
