1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Question on Aberdeen sizing. I've done a search in the forum and it seems that most people size up ½ size from a Barrie to an Aberdeen. Is this the general case or is it possible to wear the same size in both?
    Thanks

You should go up a half size from Barrie to wear Aberdeen. Aberdeen is Aldens slimmest last and it fits true to size.

I've been there a couple of times. Spectacular to say the least! Hope to make it back at least one more in my lifetime.

I am leaning heavily in that direction. Thank you Uncle!

    Thank you all!

It was funny as I wore my LHSes in the afternoon yesterday and was in a small meeting and someone asked me if they were brand new. Then, one of my co-workers said no, he just takes good care of his shoes. I thought it was funny that I have my co-workers trained. :) The funny part is the person who asked me was with me in DC at Alden when I bought them 6 months ago.

I am anxious. Supposed to get my Color 8 full straps today. Not sure. The FedEx site is showing me some funny stuff.

I am really curious to see how they look. I have wanted a pair of full straps for a while. Though I was mainly hoping for Cigar, but it's hard to beat Seconds deals.
