Is it safe to assume the Unlined Suede LHS fits the same as BB Unlined Cordovan LHS. Anybody... Would like to know before I pull the trigger on some handsome Suede LHS's

All due respect to the shell indy owners, but these are #1 in my book.

Personally, I like the look of the Indy boot over Red Wings, Timberlands, or whatever other brand offers a similarly styled product.

My comment about the overall look of the standard Indy would also apply to similarly styled boots made by these other brands. It just doesn't do it for me. Other guys like them. I have no problem with that.

I also don't believe that everything has to be shell to be appreciated.

    I agree.

Would I wear a cordovan Indy boot... of course, but other Alden makes look better to me in shell than the indy boot

    I agree.

Sorry I have been out of touch for a few days, after catching up on some very nice examples, I need to comment on the "Boot Bag" situation.

All of my boots, and shoes from Alden have come with bags, with one exception, I was told by NRO that Alden boots do not come with bags. After debating I ended up e-mailing Alden directly, and they provided bag, no questions asked. If your boots did not come with bags, and you still need them, Alden will send you a pair of boot bags free of charge if you e-mail them directly.

Some truth to this, except that my reasoning for buying an Indy boot in shell is that it looks much less like a workboot than, say, the 405 or 403 or 401.

Nothing personal here. Just differing opinions ....

I just got off the phone with a J Crew rep. I called because I only just noticed the Limited-Edition Flex-Toe Suede Chukkas and I wanted to put a search out for my size (12.5). I doubt they'll find them, but interestingly she applied the current coupon to the order which means if they do have them, they'll ship with $75 off.

Good luck! Hope it works out.

I have them in snuff and really like the crepe. Here they are compared to the Leydon flexwelt version. The tan ones are 4-5 yrs old now while the snuff have only been worn a half dozen times at most.
