1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

+1 I have bought AMAZING aldens at a great price from tsm. But, they cancelled my order for cigar lhs a couple of years ago. They were priced around $500. They were cancelled after I received a shipping confirmation. The email said they had an inventory mistake. RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

I like both the Snap and Hampton, but the Snap happens to fit my foot a bit better. I have the Alden for BB version of the 9015 and 9016 - and each is counted among my favorites for dress shoes. The Alden for BB version can be hard to find, so by necessity you may have to go with the Hampton stock model. If you can get both, do it, and keep the one that fits the best. A few years ago, I did just that - bought both versions, tried them on, and kept the one that fit the best. The Snap, for my foot, was slightly more snug than the Hampton. But that of course could be the other way around depending on your foot type.

In Alden's printed literature and in email exchanges I have had with Alden, they liken the Snap to the Hampton in terms of fit and appearance.

Can't go wrong either way. :nodding:

I remember the TSM cigar LHS episode well.

I'll breathe a sigh of relief only when the FedEx tracking displays tomorrow.

I got this message and a few mins later an update on my order changing the status to Cancelled.

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately this order is on hold because we are unable to verify the billing information for this credit card.

YEAH RIGHT same card I used a few weeks ago w/o any issues.

Seriously. The vast mess that is the interwebs could have gotten some people a discount. "Please check the website"? Seriously?!

Don, Those are fantastic. I have even thinking Ravello Thursday should be our next Thing. Maybe Cigar Sunday too??? I don't know. I think of Cigars and Sundays as relaxing days. :) -Mike

Holy new shell scent. It's another first for me. My new color 8 lwb already have deep creases from walking around the house a couple times

I had the same happen to my new #8's. I dont mind it at all but dont understand how Uncle Mac's have fewer, lighter creases after years of use

So I initially wanted to go Ravello today, but is Ravello (in general NST or LWB) with the Gray Pinstripe suit appropriate? I am in Southern Cali, so I typically can get away with a lot... :)

If it is light grey and not trending towards darker charcoal...I say wear them! They will pop and look awesome with a gray suit.

LoL, thanks Tampa! Now that I look at DonL's pic, I really like the look with the darker pants. They really pop and look beautiful!

I think Uncle Mac only wears each pair 1 time per year and holds a shoe shine expert hostage in his closet!

    See Ya,

I think you made the right selection going with the Color 8 for those pants, but NYC, different norms.

Well, just walk like you're speed-skating, and don't bend your feet.
