1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Will do, although they look to be a go-to item for rainy days because they are a bit dressier than Indys.

If only I could find folks so willing to take my AE Larchmonts...

I make the strong coffee, read the WSJ, the NY and London Times, in peace, and watch Joe Scarborough on MSNBC. Get some rest, you look tired.

    Love the monks! Nice score.

I need a pair of these. Holding out for a plaza or barrie make-up.

I don't know what these are except that they are not Barrie. If they were, my son would not be getting them as I have wanted a pair of monks for quite some time. Thanks Blue Collar. Good luck in your search.

Because the eyelets on the BB wingtips are matched, I don't find they make the shoe inappropriate for suits. It has a similar look effect on the Ralph Lauren Marlow PTBs. It is kind of unique, but does't detract from the purpose of the shoes.

Today, I am wearing a Bedale jacket (navy), chinos, v neck sweater, gingham shirt and Alden DC cigar captoe boots (pics later). On the subway across from me, a dude was wearing a Bedale jacket (green), chinos, v neck sweater, gingham shirt and Alden color 8 full strap loafers. :(
Sometimes I think I need to introduce some more uniqueness in my style

What would be funny is if your twin was actually a SF member and replied in this thread.

Leffot's website is just too dangerous to look around on.

    Would you go, for casual/bizcaz:

    1. Nat CXL Longwing (double waterlock sole)
    2. Nat CXL captoe boot
    3. Greenwich Navy CXL shortwing boot

I know the color 8 LWB is always out there, but the black edging seems a littttle more formal than I'm looking for.

All great choices and I agree about the need to limit viewing Leffot's site. I don't see the navy Greenwich as being suitable for business casual except on the most casual of all possible occasions. But it looks great and crepe is really comfortable IMO. The natty CXLs are also on the more casual end of bus cas but I think more versatile. I'd get more use out of the boot 8 months per year but none in the summer. LWB is year round. Tough call.

Yes, Leffot has some very tempting makeups right now. #2 is on its way to me right now. I love the Barrie on a 270 welt. It is a tough call. Good luck.

It's tough to get a handle on what some would call business casual.

I'm in an engineering office where standard attire can be anything from sportcoat and tie to polo/jeans/boat shoes. We've got a ton of leeway on how to dress.

Definitely leaning towards #1 though- I've been on a boot binge this year, and trying to get rid of some plain toe bluchers, so a durable longwing might be just the thing.

^ Sounds like the right call then. I'm on a boot bender myself right now and need to think long term as I will not wear come May.

Yeah, I think I kind of made up my mind anyway :)

TSM and and the AE McAllister are similar, but this is the only one with a waterlock sole, and I don't want to worry about wearing this in the rain. Plus CXL is bulletproof with proper care.

Any idea on the turnaround time for these Leffot preorders?
