Agreed. The BB M58 PTB is even nicer than Alden's own PTB, IMO. I'm upset that I have to sell mine but will buy it again in my right size eventually.

I love both my cigar and ravello longwings, but my ravello ones are currently my favorite due to the dark edge trim. The cigar is always an outstanding choice

Leffot just restocked a pretty good contender to the throne as well - color 8 on antique double waterlock soles. Limited sizes are up on their website - I should have my preordered pair in my hands soon

Hey guys I have a question on whether this is considered a defect. I recently bought the #8 chukkas from j crew but did not notice there are two holes in the back stitching until after the first wear. Am curious as to whether other people have the same issue and whether I should contact Alden.

^ It's where they're tacked on the last. Every pair has them, some better hidden than others.

I just got a pair of shoes in the dark brown chocolate suede. Don't know if anyone else bought a pair in this color from years ago, but I'm disappointed. The nap is really short, and the color is darker than it used to be giving them a cheap look/feel. Either Alden switched suede supplier, or the supplier changed their production technique. I can tell I'm getting old since I've been clamoring for the good old days recently.

Have said before, and will again; Horse is delicious. Good to know it's healthier too.

Has anyone had a shoe (LWB in my case), where the inside of the shoe (instep) was forced in towards the foot when the sole is bent? This is happening on one shoe of a pair I recently bought. When I bend my foot to walk, the arch/instep part of the upper presses into my foot. I have another pair of the same shoes in the same size, but a different color, as well as several other shoes on the same last that never did this. All of these shoes are made from shell.

Just wondering if this will ever go away. If not, I should probably get rid of them as it annoys me to the point where I don't want to wear them.
