    annoyed...

    went out tonight w/the new dark brown alden suede chukkas.. just finished 1 week of breaking them in and now they're nearly perfect.

    fkin girl tips her damn wine onto the table, 5 drops onto the shoe.

    go to bathroom, blot off shoe. right now i can't see anything show up after brushing so i guess it's no problem. but peeved that now there's impurities in my shiz

    Alden Saddle shoes from LS. Perfect with denim, chinos and cords. Suspect I can also pair with my linen or seersucker suits. Thanks for putting these together Tom! [​IMG] [​IMG]

    These are fantastic. I spent too much in pursuit of my longwing love so I cannot justify them in whiskey but I need a pair in #8 shell!

    You have learned from this. Now you know that good suede is hardier than you had thought. I have been wearing my white suede saddle shoes and am loving it. I applied a stain protector but that left some spots because of uneven application. So I wore them and nobody noticed the spots but they love the shoes. I am wearing them expecting them to get a little off white and not caring so much about them. Well after the 4th wear I took a tooth brush to some of the marks I had acquired and they all came out. No fuss, no muss. Enjoy these.

    These are all kinds of lovely. I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I spent a lot of time on the Internet. I spent at least 2 hours looking up saddle shoes. I am sure they will be my next shoe purchase. [​IMG] I believe Tom may have some new models when LSBH opens and can only hope one is a saddle shoe.

    I don't know if you saw the Hayburner model that Blackbird had. It looks similar to what you're talking about except the black and #8 were reversed. Personally, I thought it was an ugly shoe.

    Here's a weird question...
    Is it possible to have the shoe width change after a resoling job?
    For some reason, the boots feel a bit narrower and tighter.
